On Friday I was happily scanning through some of the blogs I like to follow and one of my favorites – Bakerella posted about Star Wars cookie cutters that she had found at Williams Sonoma. Now we all know I only read Bakerella for the eye-candy, that most of her projects are out of the scope of my baking talents, but boy do I love to dream that someday I could bake like her!

And, if anyone has visited my house or spent no more than 2 minutes with my boys in the last few months, you would know that I live Star Wars all the time. R, at age 2, can tell you most of the plot lines for the various movies. In better detail and understanding than me, and I consider myself a fan!

And C, has been addicted to putting together Lego Star Wars space ships for the last few months – oh his birthday was a bonanza of Legos this year. Many an epic light saber battle has been fount in my living room, dining room, and back yard, and sometimes street…

Here was a post about something the boys in the house would love and something I could actually make – SO I jumped on it! I made the hubby go find me the cutters and we did the baking on Sunday with the kids.

And yes, the force must have been with me, because these little guys taste as good as they look! Next time I may even frost them! (Ha!) Guess who is planning a Star Wars party for 3rd birthday now! (What?!?!? It’s how I talked the hubs into actually buying these!)
