Christmas Countdown Bucket

It’s that time of year again…time for me to get the annual Christmas Countdown going. I had to change it up this year, as Target stopped stocking the little envelopes for thier gift cards, and that was very labor intensive.

Christmas Countdown - Numbered Scrolls to Open

So this year I made a little scroll for each day and C (and someday R) will be able to open a scroll and we’ll do a Christmas themed activity with them. I like that this gives me the opportunity to slow down and enjoy the holidays with them a bit more.

Day 2 says to have hot cocoa together!

Every year, I like to try to add new activities to my list of things that I do with C – since he is getting older we can do more things, like crafts, easier, and I like to mix it up – this way it is not so boring. This year we added ‘Drink Hot Cocoa” to the mix as he had never tried it…

Day 2 - Have Hot Cocoa

We made a toast and enjoyed Day 2 of our Christmas Countdown! More to come…

Also, I am keeping all photos from this holiday in this set called Christmas 2008 which will continue to be updated with all of our fun from this month!
