I put R down for a nap, with his pacifier, because I know he can’t sleep without it. I go back two hours later to wake him up – no pacifier. Where could the pacifier be?
I look in the crib, under the blankets, on the sides (you know the crack), and under Memphis – no pacifier. I look under the crib, under the dresser, in the nearby toy box, in the nearby bag of clothes to go to the dry-cleaners, in the nearby closet, in the shoes in the closet, in the semi-open drawers of the dresser, under the bed, under the rocking chair, ottoman – and no Pacifier!
R sits, watches me, and laughs.
Where did it go? And, what the heck is he laughing about?
Edited to add:
I just took R up for his afternoon nap, with a new pacifier. We go into the room, nice and quiet room and I bend over to put him in the crib, what do I see lying in the middle of the crib – the old pacifier! Dudes, I tore that crib apart looking for it…I lifted out the blankets, the stuffed dog (Memphis) and even the mattress looking for it this morning. This is just spooky. Where did you come from little pacifier? And is it OK, that that pacifier is the one R chose to keep for his nap? Should I be as freaked out as I am?
Yes. Trouble with this one you are going to have. Good luck. I am right there with ya!
That is too funny!!!!! He is so your child!!!! It only gets better sis!
I can see that grin…
