R is growing and changing so fast, I can barely keep up. Part of me wonders if I avoid it because he is my baby (and I am not ready for him to change and grow) or if it’s because he’s more daring and willing to try new things than C was at this age. R is cruising along furniture now and is more than willing to let go here and there. He can stand pretty well in one spot. Yesterday he took his first unassisted tentative step (and promptly fell to a sit), and I died. The end.

Well, my heart did stop, for a second. I believe the walking is coming. And soon. So be ready. Because, if you can’t tell, I am so not.

Oh and if you didn’t see them, C was in a flag day parade at school. Per usual, he was thrilled:

C at the parade

He really is happy at his new school constantly reporting on friends and teachers and activities. He is in swimming lessons (with Little L and Yeah!!) and those teachers worked their magic – he will now get into a pool!! I am THRILLED at this improvement ( B & A – next summer should be so much better, huh?) And they did this by getting him to pretend he is a shark. (Why didn’t we think of that??) We have also been swimming with our friends here, which has also helped him become more comfortable in the pool, so I hope to keep that up (why, yes that was a blatant hint to K & L & Little L)…So pictures from the 4th need to be posted and I want to get some swimming pics, too!

It was a nice weekend of swimming! Damn Coast Guard approved crap, tho – maybe we should steal the life preservers on our next cruise?
