Today was Hat Day at school for C. Can I just start by saying that I think pre-school is kicking my butt. I am so not used to this! We have to do stuff - for C - so he fits in. I am finding this incredibly hard! Am I the only one? Probably. So Crazy Hat Day at pre-school. He does not own a Crazy Hat. He barely owns regular hats. Anyway, so I thought it would be fun to add stickers to a hat, JD made a crazy face, and the only way I could think to hook it on was to safety pin it.
When I dropped him off at school, all the other kids were wearing…..yup….regular hats. Ahhh, well, he liked it. And soon he’ll enter his teens and it will be OK that I am not so good at this “Mom” stuff.
I *love* the crazy hat! So much better than a regular hat.
Not good at Mom stuff? Have you watched any of your home movies lately? You are terrific with your kids. We all have times where we have no idea what we’re going. Especially when it comes to preschool stuff!
I remember those days and they will pass in such a blur that you will be glad that the things you did do like crazy hat day stick out as great memories for you and C!!! When big C and I saw this picture we began talking about all those “fun” days and the things I tried to do to be a “great mom” and felt like a failure as well!!! I know you are an awesome mom and aspire to be like you when I grow up!! Love to all!!!
