It’s hard to believe that it has already been two years. It doesn’t seem possible. Two years ago today you joined our little family. What a two years it has been. You’ve grown so much it’s hard to recall you as that little bundle we brought home. We take great pride and joy in the little boy that you have become and look forward to seeing you continue to grow. Although, your mom does miss when you were a baby and she could hold you without you squirming away to go play, but she does get her few minutes now and then when you read together.

I came downstairs this morning and while I was making our lunches for the day, I happen to look at the clock. It was 6:14. I walked back into the other room where your mom was working out and said, “Two years and two hours ago, you were holding little booda on your belly.” She smiled, paused, and replied, “We didn’t know what the hell we were doing.” That’s probably the sentiment of most first time parents. Here you are suddenly responsible for this little person, but I think we’ve done pretty well all things considered.

You astound us everyday with the new things you are learning. Your mom and I often look at each other after you’ve said or done something and have commented, “When did he learn that.” We love it. Continue to surprise and amaze us. We love you very much C. Have a very happy birthday our little two year old.
