Do you ever have a problem, work or otherwise, that you’ve been trying for ages to get your head around and find a solution to, but for the life of you can’t solve? Well, that’s been me for a good month or so now at work with one tricky bit of python programing dealing with a FITS file. For the non-geeks out there, a FITS file is basically a neat little package for storing scientific data. Anyway, I finally just decided to give the problem some space for a couple weeks, letting is simmer and stew for awhile. Then today, I figured I would go ahead and dredge it all back up and have a go at it again. Lo and Behold, the answer cometh. I almost did a little dance I was so happy and I don’t dance. I probably did utter a little to loud, YES!, but nobody complained. I still have some testing to do, but I believe the hard part is now done.
