I typically receive a lot of SPAM over the course of the day at work. No, not the canned meat mixture you were forced to eat as a child, but the ugly unwanted emails. Probably close 70% of my email is SPAM because my email address is (and has been) on several websites. Luckily we have SpamAssassin installed at work and that catches quite a bit. Combine that with my ever increasing blacklist, the SPAM filter in Apple Mail, plus a few filters, and I am able to weed out most of it so that now I only get a handful making it all the way to my inbox. Some days nothing gets through. Oh glorious day! Recently (read: last few days) though, I’ve been having more get through the filters. What’s strange about this SPAM is it’s not your typical home refinancing, Viagra, hair gel, busty ladies SPAM. The majority of the stuff getting through right now is for a christian dating service. What is up with that? I’d put the name here, but why give a service that uses SPAM free advertising right?
