I hope I do not get in trouble for saying this, but add it to my “What is wrong with people?” list. I am manning an exhibit booth at the HEAD meeting. Big display with a table full of brochures and other handouts. Random people have continuously come up and sat behind the booth table, pulled out their laptops and started working. Hello! This is an exhibit not your workstation. Now it is one thing if they ask, “Can I sit here a minute and check my email?” or something similar, but these people just plop down, oblivious to the exhibit. I mean are they so focused on their work that they do not see the big display behind the table and all the brochures and other goodies on the table? I am normally polite about it and just leave them be, but I just do not understand. A word of advice people, pay attention to the world around you! Am I off base here?
