Those of you close to me know that one of the projects I work on is a spacecraft called Swift. I am not going into big details here as you can visit the website to find out more, but basically it is a multi-wavelength observatory that will study gamma-ray bursts. At long last Swift has been deliverd to Kennedy Space Center in preparation for launch on October 7th. It is definitely a major milestone and, since this will be my first launch, I am really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, Laurie and C may not be able to go, but we are trying to work it out.
